Excellent UK England 1928 George V Large Penny, Obverse Double Due FREE S/H

Description

This auction offers a nice 1928 (large) bronze penny with King George V gracing the obverse with her older-age profile.
This coin has nice detail considering it circulated among the working class during the heights of world-wide industrial revolution, not to mention the number of countries quantity of people in the UK, territories and commonwealth nations.
The coin has a diameter of 31 millimeters and an approximate weight of 9.4 grams. Its composition on the whole is bronze.
The provenance of this coin is that it originated from a multigenerational coin collection in my family. As early as 1910 through the 1960’s, bank tellers kindly set aside collectible coins for my father and grandfather. The examples they sought were denominations that were then no longer minted; especially as gold varied out in the early 1930's. They also sought coins minted in other countries, which banks much more easily accepted for the purpose of exchanging with American money, and regularly had stock during the first half of the 20th century (compared to the 21st century). My father and grandfather sought coins throughout banks in Worcester, Middlesex and Berkshire counties (in Massachusetts).
This coin is a great investment.
