    Description

    1946 King George VI British Penny.
    The 1946 United Kingdom penny reverse
    shows Britannia seated facing right, wearing
    a helmet, and holding a trident.
    Her other hand rests on a shield bearing the
    Cross of Saint George.
    The words 'ONE' and 'PENNY' are in the fields,
    a lighthouse in the background to the left of the
    shield, and the date is in the exergue below.
    The obverse features the bare head of
    King George VI facing left, with the legend:
    'GEORGIVS VI D:G:BR:OMN:REX
    F:D:IND:IMP.'
